May Women’s Fellowship Luncheon
Our next Women’s Fellowship Luncheon is at noon on Tuesday, May 28 at Ship2Shore in Kingsland. Our hosts for that day will be Sue Keyon and her speaker will be Amanda Byers, Executive Director of the Camden Community Family Center. Amanda will speak on the various grants that she writes for the center and how the center helps to support children, separated from their families. Also, she will tell us how the agency is expanding into Brunswick and Folkston. We are asking the ladies to please bring with them to the luncheon a donation to be given to the center. If any of you cannot make the luncheon or any of you that don’t attend the luncheons want to donate you will find a bin in the Narthex to place the items on Sunday Morning from now and till May 26th. Each week Sue will pick them up and deliver them. Sue will have a sign on it to let you know it is for the Center. Want to thank all of you for your generous donations. Donations needed: toilet paper, paper toweling, disinfecting wipes, baby wipes, and small packages of “child pleasing” snacks. If you have any questions please contact me, Diane or Sue Keyon at 912-552-2552. This will be a great day of fellowship and laughs. Please contact Diane Castiglione at (912) 729-9607 or email her at dian429@yahoo.com by Sunday May 26 if you will be attending. I do need an account of how many will be attending so they can set up for us. God’s Blessings, Diane Castiglione.
The Memorial Garden Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 8 at 4pm to discuss a plan for the engraved bricks. We would appreciate input from the congregation. You may attend the meeting or speak with a committee member. Members are Mary Kay Lindquist, Gale Lizana, Edna Everett, John Everett, Bernie Schwartz, and Roberta Lindau.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be June 17 – 21 from 9 – 12. Our theme is Camp Firelight and is for children PreK – 5th. Once again, our KOPEDS Frog class will be joining us. Register Now for Summer Camp at Honey Creek
In less than two months, the Diocese of Georgia’s 100th Summer Camp will get underway at Honey Creek. We will have daily camp activities, including arts & crafts, outdoor games, ropes course activities, kayaking, pool time, and more. In addition to every day being filled with fun camp activities, we also devote time to worship and spiritual formation. Each session has Spiritual Directors on staff that will lead a formation program in the afternoon, and we begin and end each day with worship in the Chapel of Our Savior with gorgeous views of the Creek right outside our window.
